Proffee (protein coffee... get it?), a homemade drink combining protein powder or shake, milk, and coffee, has been making waves across the internet.

A morning boost of protein could help you meet your macronutrient goals and even lose weight...

But we couldn't help but notice a glaring problem with many of the Proffee recipes out there:

The protein shakes and powders commonly used are filled with ingredients you DO NOT want to kick off your day consuming. (Or end your day consuming, for that matter.)

So I asked our lead recipe developer if we could create a better Proffee — one I could get excited about drinking myself.

And as it turns out, a clean, plant-based protein coffee is super easy.

The Ultimate Plant-Based Proffee Recipe:
 

  1. Brew coffee or espresso.
  2. Froth your plant milk of choice (we prefer oat).
  3. Whisk Complement Protein (Unflavored or Chocolate) into the coffee and pour on plant milk.
  4. Sprinkle cinnamon for added enjoyment.
