Acai Coconut & Berry Protein Bowl
Popular for making you feel like you live in Hawaii, acai bowls are also a nutrient powerhouse, with loads of fiber, antioxidants, healthy fats, and micro-nutrients.
Plus, they're super versatile, so you can play with near endless options to fit your taste.
If you're unfamiliar, acai bowls are essentially thick smoothies made with acai berries and other fruit, then loaded with yummy toppings.
Today we share Complement Ambassador Bianca Phillips' unique spin on the acai bowl, complete with a number of mouthwatering additions.

Acai Coconut Protein Smoothie Bowl
Yields one bowl
This bowl is super-versatile, so don't worry if you don't have all of the ingredients on-hand. For the base, all you really need is plant milk, bananas, berries, Complement Protein, and acai powder, and the toppings are up to you! Use as many as you'd like.
Ingredients
For the smoothie base:
- 1/2 cup plant milk (cashew, coconut, almond, soy, etc.)
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 1/2 bananas (preferably frozen, but ripe and fresh will work!)
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
- 3 Tbsp. Complement Protein powder
- 2 Tbsp. dried, unsweetened flaked coconut
- 1 Tbsp. ground flaxseed
- 1 Tbsp. wheatgrass powder (optional)
- 1 tsp. acai powder
Toppings:
- 1 Tbsp. chopped walnuts
- 1 Tbsp. raw pumpkin seeds
- 1 Tbsp. dried goji berries
- 1 Tbsp. chia seeds
- Optional: Crumbled raw coconut macaroons
- Optional: Drizzle of your favorite nut or seed butter
Instructions
Combine all of the base ingredients in a high-speed blender, and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into a bowl, and top with nuts, seeds, dried fruit, and nut butter.
